EXPERIENCE

 

La Cava Concepts brings more than 18 years experience working with plastics. Starting with 15 years as a plastic fabricator, learning every materials limits, reactions to different environments and how they can be best utilised in each requirement. This has given me the knowledge to be able to start my own business specialising in plastic installations. I take great care and pride in my work and customer service. I design each job to best suit the customers' requirements, achieving effective and quality results that are also very pleasing to the eye.

MATERIALS

 

Acrylic:

Acrylic sheets are a widely used and highly versatile plastic. Acrylic is known for its outstanding ability to resist weathering, long lifespan without yellowing or crazing, excellent clarity and able to be easily recycled. Acrylic is 10 times more impact resistant and around 5 times lighter than glass. It also comes in many different colours, tints and frosted finishes.  It is a great material for applications such as pool boundaries to comply, boat windows, child safe balconies, railings and stairwells.

 

Polycarbonate:

Polycarbonate is a transparent, virtually unbreakable material. Whilst polycarbonate is an option used for most of the above acrylic applications, its high clarity and toughness make it a perfect material for those jobs where security and additional impact resistance is required. It is also available with an abrasion resistant coating keeping it looking newer for longer where it may be subjected to more extreme weather and damage.

 

Fixings and fittings:

While there are many different fixing and fitting methods available, in most cases each job is unique in its own way.
